Happy 8 month-day!

Yesterday Owen turned 8 months old! As always, I can not believe how big he has gotten! In 8 short months my life has been completely transformed in such an amazing way.

Owen is doing great! In the last couple of days he has learned to sit up on his own (he has been sitting up when we put him into the position for a while, but now he can go from laying down to sitting up on his own), to do a real hands and knees crawl, to crawl using his tippy toes, and to stand up in his crib and using his toys. What a busy week!

Owen has been such a great eater lately. I am  now feeding him 3 meals a day of solids and nursing at least 5 times a day, sometimes more. I have introduced yogurt, cheese, chicken (which is really gross to puree yourself- yikes!), okra (jury is still out on that one), and pretty much all of the fruits and veggies. He is a happy little eater!

 

This is how Owen likes to sleep in his swing now. Poor little guy is all hunched over- but he loves to sleep like this. I move him and he goes right back into this position!

He is still so in love with our dogs! Now that he can crawl he loves to make his way over to “pet” them. Normally they both let him for a little while, and then get annoyed and leave. He just lights up when he sees them.

He is always our incredibly happy baby boy. He loves people, loves to chat, enjoys making us laugh, and is such great sunshine in our day. Did i mention we are in love with him???

        

This is what Owen decided to do with the 8 month photo shoot paper. We only got 1 good shot with it before he crumpled, ate, and destroyed it.
